    Fall Semester - 2009

    August

    24th, Monday

    -First day of class.

    -Late registration begins. ($25.00 Late Registration Fee Charged).

    -Accepting Faculty/Staff tuition fee waivers

    28th, Friday

    - Last day students may add a course on-line. (Classes added after this date require appropriate signatures.)

    -Deadline for Cancellation of Enrollment from WSU with full refund (less administration fee).

    September

    4th, Friday

    -Last day a student may receive a refund for special course fees.

    -Deadline to change from audit to credit.

    -Deadline for enrollment prior to $100 late registration fee.

    7th, Monday

    -Labor Day—ALL UNIVERSITY HOLIDAY

    8th, Tuesday

    -Students shall be assessed a 3% late payment penalty on unpaid tuition and mandatory fee balance. *Check Registrar’s website for most up to date information!

    11th, Friday

    -Last day to change enrollment from letter graded to pass/fail.

    18th, Friday

    -Last day to add a course as audit or to change from credit to audit.

    -Last day to add courses for faculty, staff, and state employees under the tuition waiver.

    22nd, Tuesday

    -Students shall be assessed an additional 5% late payment penalty on unpaid tuition and mandatory fee balance (the 30th calendar day of the academic term).

    -Last day to file residency application.

    -Deadline for dropping a course without record. (Course withdrawals after this date cost $5.00 each and are recorded on the student's transcript).


    October

    7th, Wednesday

    -Students shall be assessed an additional 7% late payment penalty on unpaid tuition and mandatory fee balance (the 45th calendar day of the academic term).

    9th, Friday

    -Last day to apply for a Graduate Certificate.

    14th, Wednesday

    -Mid-term grade submission ends. Required for all Tri-Cities, Pullman, and Vancouver Freshmen students with <28hrs and first semester transfer students with <90hrs.

    16th, Friday

    -Deadline to apply for a Graduate Degree

    -Deadline to apply for an Undergraduate Degree. After this date, an additional late fee of $75 assessed when applying for an Undergraduate degree for Fall 2009. Additional late fee of $75 assessed when applying for an Undergraduate degree.

    -Deadline to apply for a Teaching Certificate.

    23rd, Friday

    -Deadline to use a regular withdrawal to withdraw from a course, (undergraduate students only, see Rule 68).

    November

    6th, Friday

    -Deadline to schedule final oral examination for an advanced degree.

    9th, Monday

    -Priority Registration begins for Spring 2010.

    11th, Wednesday

    -Veteran’s Day—ALL UNIVERSITY HOLIDAY

    13th, Friday – 15th, Sunday

    -Dad’s Weekend 2009!

    20th, Friday

    -Deadline to take final oral examination for an advanced degree.

    23rd, Monday – 27th Friday

    Thanksgiving Vacation

    December

    4th, Friday

    -Theses due to Graduate School.

    11th, Friday

    -Deadline to use uncontested course withdrawal (undergraduate students only, see Rule 69b).

    - T he last day of instruction for the term.

    -Last day to add a course for this term with appropriate signatures.

    -Deadline for cancellation of enrollment from WSU (see Rule 70b).

    -Deadline to change from pass/fail to letter graded.

    12th, Saturday

    -Commencement

    14th, Monday – 18th, Friday

    -Final Exam Week
